SPRING FAVORITES – with Aina Velasco

‘Favorites’ will be the first of a new series, this season partnered with Aina Velasco. Here, I plan to invite interested guests to share their fashion-related favorites for the upcoming season (or the current one).

Aina is a creative whom I’ve been following for a while now. I admire the elegance and sophistication she demonstrates in everything she does.

She works as a model, creative consultant, and content creator in the fashion and communication fields. Her days can be very different, and that’s what she enjoys the most — from being in front of the camera, scouting vintage pieces, and researching for upcoming projects, to collaborating on creative initiatives.

Her career started quite young, inspired by her beloved grandmother and her passion for printed magazines during her teenage years. She studied journalism and stands out for her sobriety, her passion for research, and her sensitivity to aesthetics influenced by cinema, architecture, and art itself. She is passionate about the freedom and variety of her work, always looking to learn and develop new projects and techniques.

Aina’s Favorites for Spring:

– Essential look: a white T-shirt and jeans all year round, alternating between loafers and ballet flats when the heat strikes. For the hottest months of summer, Aina’s uniform becomes light dresses — always a good choice. She adds an interesting necklace to elevate any look or a cuff bracelet to bring joy into a more basic, streamlined outfit.

– Her perfect plan is an early dinner (around 7 PM) on a terrace, accompanied by sunlight, good wine, cheese, and great company. In Barcelona, a perfect spot could be Vereda, where the menu changes with the seasons — and this season’s highlight is the asparagus.

– Her current read is Cosas que no quiero saber by Deborah Levy — a book filled with sharp irony that is sure to lift you up.

– One of her favorite trends includes prints like Vichy checks, animal print, and even polka dots. Her most cherished item: a vintage Valentino midi skirt.
